Fresh & Renewal Post Matric Scholarship Online Application For Minority Students

Minorities & Backward Classes Welfare Department has issue the Online applications form for 2015-2016 session to award the Post Matric Scholarship, Merit Cum Mean Based Scholarship and Pre Metric Scholarship to meritorious students belonging to Minority Communities. The religion comes under Minority Community are Muslim, Christian, Buddhist, Sikh, Jain and Parsi.


The students those are studying in the government recognized institute from Class XI up to Ph.D Courses will get this benefit of Post Metric Scholarship  . Online apply will start from 1st July 2015 and last date of apply of Fresh Scholarship 2015 is extended upto 31th August 2015, and renewal date is 10 September 2015. The online apply link is now not working so you should check it after few days. Read below to know more.

Who Can Apply:


Students of Class XI upto Ph.d (+2, +3, PG, M.Phill, Ph.d, Diploma Engineering)
Students must be permanent resident of a State.
Income of the parents should not exceed Rs. 6.00 lakh per annum.
Students must have secured minimum 50% mark in the final board or university examination
30% scholarship is earmarked for girl students.

Documents Required With The Application:
One Passport size photograph duly signed,
Certificates in support of Last Educational qualification
Mark sheet of last qualification
Income Certificate From Tahasildar,
Caste Certificate From Tahasildar,
Resident Certificate From Tahasildar
Self-attested Xerox copy of the 1st page of Savings Bank Pass Book mentioning correct A/C No, IFSC Code, MICR Code.

Post Matric Scholarship For Minority Students 2015-16 :

The Prime Minister’s New 15 Point Programme for the Welfare of Minorities was announced in June, 2006. It provides that a post-matric scholarship scheme for meritorious students from minority communities would be implemented.
The objective of the scheme is to award scholarships to meritorious students belonging to economically weaker sections of minority community so as to provide them better opportunities for higher education, increase their rate of attainment in higher education and enhance their employability.

How to Apply?:

The Post Matric Scholarship Scheme is online Scheme. In order to apply online please visit the website through URL www.scholarships.gov.in link to the site is also provided in the website of the Ministry of Minority Affairs, i.e. www.minorityaffairs.gov.in.
Applying Procedure:
Fresh:
For registration, go through the option “Student login” on the home page of National Scholarship Portal then click on “New User” button. Thereafter the system will instruct the applicant to fill up the application in five different tabs i.e. Personal Details, Academic Details, Scheme Details, Bank Details And Contact Details. Students have to submit the application accordingly. After submitting, the “Permanent Id will be generated. Student should memorize the PID which will be required to open the submitted application at any stage.
Renewal: Renewal Students have to apply with their Permanent id which they got previous year (i.e. 2014-15). Students must enter their Permanent Id by clicking the option Student Login on the home page, then have to click on ‘Login’ button to apply for renewal.
Note:
Uploading of documents is mandatory for both Fresh and Renewal cases under Post Matric Scholarship scheme. While applying for scholarship, students must upload the required documents as per the instructions

Procedure to register school/college/institution:

** Open the URL-www.scholarships.gov.in in the web browser
** National Scholarship Portal Home Page is Displayed
** Click on the Services – Register School/College (In Home Page)
** Before Registering, check if it is already Registered with the Portal by using the “Find School/College” Details available on the left hand side of the webpage.
** If it is not found in the list then proceed for registration by Selecting “Register School/College” available on the right hand side of the web page.
** A Registration Form titled -Register School/College/University Details is displayed on the Right Hand Side of the Webpage
** Fill in the Institute Registration Form as provided and click on submit button.
** Once the Online form is Successfully Submitted, The Institute will be verified and approved by the respective state Nodal Officer.
** Some states have published the details of nodal officers to the National Scholarships Portal. These can be viewed by clicking on “Services – Know your state nodal officer” on the home page.
** After the Verification & Approval process,the respective Login Credentials (user id and password) will communicated to the school/college through SMStothe State Nodal Officer.

The list of documents to be uploaded for both Fresh & Renewal Scholarship under Post Matric is as under:

1. Institution Verification Form. (Mandatory)
2. Income Certificate issued by an authorized Officer in the State/UT – (Mandatory)
3. Declaration of the Student. (Mandatory)
4. Religion Certificate. (Mandatory)
5. (i) In case of Fresh: Self-Attested Certificate of Last Board Exam Passed as filled in the Form. (Mandatory).
(ii) In case of Renewal: Self-Attested Certificate of Last Exam Passed as filled in the Form. (Mandatory)
6. Fee Receipt of ‘Current Course Year’. (Mandatory)
7. Proof of Bank Account in the Name of the Student. (Mandatory)
8. Aadhaar Card (Optional)
9. Proof of Address (Optional)
Note:
Students must select their bank/branch details carefully from the drop down list. Thereafter the complete account no. must be entered correctly. If bank details entered by students are found incorrect, the scholarship amount will not be transferred, though the application is approved for scholarship.
